How to arrive in Hvar


Thanks to its geographic position, Hvar can be easily reached by sea; a growing demand for quick connections, especially by those arriving on the island from abroad, resulted in new and more frequent connections, especially from Italy which is particularly close and in favorable position.

For those who arrive by car/motorbike along the croatian coast from the north, there are everyday lines from Split to Stari Grad port (island of Hvar) with comfortable ferry-boats. In Split you can also take a quick speedboat which arrives directly at Hvar port (everyday connection).

If you arrive from the Central Italy there is a very convenient daily maritime connection from Ancona to Split and further with ferry lines from Split to Hvar or directly from Ancona to the island of Hvar (Stari Grad).

As an alternative to these connection it is possible to arrive to Split from Italy and other European countries by plane and than to Hvar by local ferry lines.
